Our next club meeting will be held at the Mooloolaba Bowls Club. The guest speaker will be
Vas Srinivasan who will be talking on Indian Association of Sunshine Coast.

Director's Reports

Fruehlingsfest Car Parking - This Saturday, 5th August 2023

As in previous years (since 2007) and as a project under our Youth program, our club is
assisting with the car parking at the annual Immanuel Lutheran College Fruehlingsfest. This
Parents & Friends event will be run from 2pm to 8pm. Our assistance will be required from
1-30pm to 7-00pm. This will be done in 2 shifts. This is our opportunity to say "thank you"
to the college for their support of our Interact program and free education for our incoming
exchange students. It is not an onerous or difficult job. With input from our club, the car
parking set up is undertaken by the college and we then manage it by directing traffic into
specific parking areas around the college grounds.

As at the time of writing, we have 8 volunteers for the 1-30pm to 4-30pm shift but only 3 for
the 4-30pm to 7pm shift. Ideally, 10 per shift will allow time for some company. a break and
so the opportunity to explore the sights and delicious food that the Fruehlingsfest organisers
put on each year. Again this year our Interact Club will be selling curries, guaranteed worth
the free admission alone!!!
As noted above, rosters have been set up on the member's website. Please have a look at the
numbers for each shift and, if possible, add your name to the shift that is "light on" for
assistance. Newer members, partners and Friends of Rotary are encouraged to assist.
