        News on Paul Robins
As you will be aware, Paul Robins was injured in a skiing accident in Europe and is in
hospital continuing to recover sufficiently to be able to return home. He recently had a minor
setback and had a minor operation to remove his appendix. He is recovering from this and
Janene reports “his appendix was damaged so they removed it. Good news is that he is
improving each day, walking and sitting. The doctor said he could be discharged maybe
Wednesday next week. Then it will just be the process of organising the travel home. I’ll
        keep you posted.”

Barry Fraser has spoken with Paul and reports “We have been in touch with Paul yesterday
also and he is in good spirits and feeling a lot better”
        Sometimes technology lets us down.

Some of our members have projects which they are passionate about and go the extra mile to
support. Roger Wright is one of these members and is a great supporter of STEMM and was
the speaker host when Jacqui Dean and Amber Holland spoke at our meeting. Roger prepared
a report for the Bulletin and emailed it to the Bulletin Editor. Unfortunately, it was not
received in time for last week’s Bulletin. It contains much information about STEMM and is
        included below.

        Previous week’s Guest Speaker

        STEMM Report by Roger Wright

It was my Pleasure to host our Guest Speakers
Jacqui Dean and Amber Holland. Both
        Coordinators of STEMM (Supporting
        Teenagers with Mothering & Mentoring).
Jacqui started the program 18 years ago and
Amber has been there for one year. Succession
planning in place to ensure the program
        continues to survive.

Our club has been supporting STEMM for
several years now with financial support and
        building works.

After a challenging 2024, where they lost part of their State Government Funding, Jacqui
said it felt like they had to justify their existence and being asked multiple times, why they do
        STEMM the way they do.
