It was great this week to attend the Mock Interviews at Maroochydore State High School, the
BBQ hosted by the Ballinger's and the Provisional Rotaract meeting. Six Mooloolaba
Rotarians attended the Mock Interviews and ten people were present at the Rotaract meeting
including the President of Pine Rivers Rotary.
This week is Homelessness Week that focuses on helping to reduce stigma and to shift
perceptions around people who are at risk of or experiencing homelessness.
Each day focuses on a different theme with a simple, thought-provoking challenge which
could be achieved through conversation and/or social media:
Monday - Myth Busting
Tuesday - Connect with Someone New
Wednesday - What's for Dinner?
Thursday - 5 Things You Couldn't Live Without
Friday - Fundraising Friday
A reminder of the free skin check which is available on-
Sunday 10 August from 8 am to 4 pm at Maroochydore Surf Club
Monday 11 August from 8 am to 4 pm at University of the Sunshine Coast.
